Baqboq ("Baqboq," "we," "us") operates a job marketplace platform connecting job seekers and employers, available at baqboq.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. By using Baqboq, you agree to the practices described here.
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your phone number (verified by one-time code) and/or the name and email address associated with your Google account if you sign in with Google.
Candidate profile information. Full name, date of birth, profession(s), employment preferences, expected salary, availability, area of residence, a short bio, profile photo, an optional intro video, and work experience (job titles, employer names, and dates) that you choose to add.
Employer information. Business name, location, logo, workplace photos, and a WhatsApp contact number used to reach candidates.
Activity information. Jobs you post or apply to, and the status of those applications (including withdrawals).
Technical information. Basic usage and device data collected through analytics tools, described in Section 5.
We use your information to operate the marketplace: creating and displaying your profile or job listing, matching candidates with relevant jobs, letting employers review candidates who've applied, verifying your phone number, sending account-related notifications, and improving the product.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your data to serve you advertising.
Candidates and employers. When you apply to a job, the employer can see the profile information you've marked as visible (name or anonymized name, profession, experience, and other profile details). Your phone number is never shown directly to an employer. Instead, if you choose to reach out or respond to interest, Baqboq generates a WhatsApp link so you and the employer can message each other directly — Baqboq does not store or relay the content of those conversations.
Hiding your profile. Candidates can hide their profile from employer searches at any time from their profile settings.
Service providers. We share information with the providers listed in Section 5 strictly to operate the platform (for example, hosting your data securely or sending a verification code). We have agreements with these providers governing how they may use your data, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Baqboq, our users, or the public.
Baqboq relies on infrastructure providers based outside Jordan (see Section 5) to store and process data securely. This means your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. We select providers with strong security and privacy practices, and we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to be protected wherever it is processed, consistent with Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 24 of 2023).

We use basic analytics tools to understand how people use Baqboq, such as which pages are visited and how the site performs, so we can improve it. These tools do not sell your data or build advertising profiles. You can use your browser settings to limit cookies, though some features of the site may not work as well as a result.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, your profile, job posts, and application history are permanently removed from our systems.

You can update or delete most of your information directly from your profile. For anything else, contact us using the details in Section 12.
Baqboq is only for people 18 years of age or older, and we require a date of birth at signup to confirm this. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
We use industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and row-level access controls on our database, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any breach affecting your data as required by law.
We may update this policy as Baqboq grows. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
